CHARITY
MONEY:
This
is about my now deceased loved one, a relative. He had an idea: he
was running a business as a rural mail contractor near a small town,
spent much time after work, working on the orchard he and some
relatives planted, several “patches”. As he and his wife's usual life was: 7
days a week, work.
His
idea was: instead of giving $5.00 here and there, he would save up,
invest, reinvest and reinvest, and later on, give a huge amount of
money away. Later, he found out that one of the hospital wards in
Tauranga, that in winter, two cotton blankets was all the patients
had, plus sheets, and that even though there was some heating, it was
a fact that many of the patients shivered themselves to sleep. So he
had been saving up, and then brought out his checkbook, and gave
$3,000,000 to the hospital ward for continental quilts, more
screening in the dormitory and some renovations, so to be more
private, and also heating to be added to. This was many years ago,
and he told the hospital: “if it costs more, then get back on
contact with myself”. Up until then, there was no privacy, little
heating and not enough blankets. This
idea of his to save up and save up and to invest and invest and THEN
to give money away,
he said: “it's worthwhile” and it is. He hardly spoke at all, to
anyone, about what he had done. He often went without some of the
things that others might have looked at and decided, in error, he
went without nothing. Some people saw his moderately upper-class
home, his clothes and all, seemed rich (and he started his adult life
as so poor, and worked his way out), others may have said (without knowing the truth of it): “he's so
rich, I bet he does not give to the poor”: He did NOT buy a
mansion, even though he could have afforded that. YET: In fact, he
really did save up for Charity, finding good investments to multiply
the money, and several times, later on, giving away millions of dollars. It did
not mean he quit completely on giving to Charity before then, he did
give $50.00 here and there, reasonably well often, and did NOT want
his name mentioned, he was shy and that was the real reason, AND he
didn't want applause etc., at all, not in any way, he said sometimes:
“I'll do that, but I'm not going to do that to get thank-yous, I will give this because I CARE about others”.
I
hope to do similar things myself, starting with the idea of Bonus
Bonds (several amounts already bought), and when I'm doing such
things, I repeat this: “the money is for God's purposes” so he
and my Spiritual Supervisors can freely direct the money when and where it
needs to go. I have yet to win at Bonus Bonds, yet I received a
prophesy that later, I will win plenty. Helping God IS helping
humanity, yet I would also include animals, birds, anything and
anyone I can help, reasonably. I have said about ALL of my money: "God's purposes" and am often surprised at the way HE is generous for my own grocery shopping, and often, other things, almost weekly I can give donations of food bought at the supermarket, to a Charity, and HE only asks for a little, and gives so much. And all I have to do is, when it's bedtime, say in my bedtime prayer: "Thank you, for the blessings of the day" and that is ALL HE asks in return. It's really good to be grateful for our blessings.
In
New Zealand, we can go to the ANZ bank and buy Government Bonus
Bonds, $20.00 per 19 bonds. Once every few weeks, the maximum win is
$1,000,000. And there's many more prizes. I like the way I have bought bonus
bonds, labelled them with a DEFINITE name (eg Red Cross); and made a
DEFINITE undertaking to be so very strong: if the words from myself
on the Bonus Bonds are “Red Cross”, then 90% of any win on those
numbers, IS for the Red Cross. And so forth, this can win on behalf
of others, and when the win is announced, then we can put the money
in the bank, bring out the checkbook, and post the cheque, smile.
This takes real inner strength and it's ok to Pray to God for the
strength to withstand temptation. So if God wants a large donation to the Red Cross, the win will happen, at the right time, as I trust HE will organise about the timing too.
I
was told years ago, that I was due 10% of the winnings, so I was
rather pleased with that, since I am NOT wealthy (yet!).
